What is granite and why does it last so long

Granite is an igneous rock formed as magma cooled slowly deep in the Earth's crust. Hence its properties: density, hardness and heat resistance that no other natural stone used in interiors can match. Granite doesn't fear a hot pot, a knife or moisture — and with proper care keeps its polished surface for decades.

Every granite slab is unique: the pattern you choose will never repeat in another home. Unlike engineered materials, granite doesn't imitate stone — it is stone.

From light Alaska White and Colonial White to deep-black Nero Assoluto and Angola Black; restrained greys Steel Grey and Bohus Grey, shimmering Blue Pearl and Star Galaxy, warm Tan Brown and Rosa Beta, green Verde Savana.

Surface finishes: polished, honed (matt), leather, flamed — for stairs and outdoor surfaces. Thicknesses 20 and 30 mm.

How to care for granite

Hardly at all — that's the beauty of granite. A damp cloth and a neutral cleaner are enough. Every couple of years we recommend renewing the protective sealant — a service we offer.

How much does a granite countertop cost?

The price depends on the decor, area, edge finish and number of cutouts. Send a floor plan or photo — we'll calculate it precisely within 2 hours, free of charge.

Granite or quartz — which to choose for a kitchen?

Granite is natural stone with a unique pattern and maximum heat resistance. Quartz has a consistent pattern and zero maintenance. Both are excellent — we show them side by side in the showroom.

Can granite be used outdoors?

Yes. Flamed granite suits stairs, terraces and outdoor kitchens — it doesn't fear cold, moisture or temperature swings.

Which is more practical — dark or light granite?

Water marks and fingerprints show more on black granite, hardly at all on light, grainy stone. We recommend based on how you'll use it.
